I Swear...I Can't Stand Him

Folder:
slightly old poems

I can't stand it,

When you smile down at me;

The lines rippling from your eyes,

And the dimples that you call lucky.

I hate it when you laugh,

And it echoes through the room;

You lean over dramatically,

I hear your voices' boom.

Your eyes annoy me the most,

They're so passionate, yet angry;

I can't look away from their emerald color,

And stop breathing when they stare at me.

I am scared when you're mad,

You yell and you cuss;

You tower over me,

But still, it's you that i trust.

I hate the fast food that you eat,

And you drive way too fast;

You tell me that I'll get no where in life,

With my sail at half mast.

I listen closely when you say my name,

And stiffen when you touch me;

My ear tickles when you whisper,

And I pretend to hate it when you mock me.

I admire you and your dreams,

Your countless ambitions;

But you need a jump-start on life,

To wake up your passions.

You say "aint life a pickle",

When i'm complaining;

And say "Don't you have somthing better to do",

When i'm painting.

He's got me crying when i'm happy,

laughing when i'm sad,

He's got me doing things so crazy

Making me so mad.
