Bloodshot Blue

Folder:
slightly old poems

I looked into the same eyes

That have looked through fear

They’re so good at hiding

How much they’ve cried this year

I got the call

Now it’s my eyes that cried

Now it’s my heart that’s broken

From hearing that you died

I feel like I’m on a ferris wheel

Spinning ‘round and ‘round

I can see everything

Yet I still can’t touch the ground

You used to be so simple

We laughed all the time

Now I feel so ignorant

For thinking everything was fine

I know I have to start over

But I’ll never forget you

I look into the mirror

My eyes are bloodshot blue
