You can't put the roses behind you

Folder:
2012

Pink carpet and red roses still in this silent home
Singing of a man half empty
They follow you where ever you go
Always and forever in your décor
To remind you of your bitterness
Emptiness
Drunkenness
The lose you can’t let go
And they will forever stain you
Restrain you
Remain in you until you die
Because although one son came back to you
Said sorry, gave it up and made amends
The other son is as stubborn as you
He won’t budge
And you won’t budge
And the carpet gathers dust
Smiles at you like it knows you’re lying
Still neither of you budging an inch
And now
No one will get out alive
