Mexican Movie

Dewy lips traveling the landscape,

Condensation slowly kissing the glass.

Filming moments on videotape,

Passion captured before it comes to pass.

Only two among the sand dunes,

The nearest sound a steady ibis.

Could any beauty match Cancun’s?

An open invitation. Try this.

Walking away, and yet not walking away.

Saying hello and goodbye.

Am I or am I not permitted to stay?

Is this wrong, my asking why?

My blood is raining down

Marking its territory, no regard.

It seems my fate to drown,

To smash against the rocks heavy and hard.

Solo me dan para visitar –

Este es para ti, nunca para mí.

You – you never need to go that far,

But all I get is a Mexican movie.
