Find My Way to You

There will come a time, a glorious spring,
One more promising than we could have planned.
Time will have passed us but sweetened the sting,
Flown me on angel’s wings to where you stand.

We will place faith in our blessed season,
Say everything happens for a reason.

They can laugh all they want - I don’t really care.
I’ll say I knew all along it was true,
How I never doubted you standing there
And that I'd one day find my way to you.

Some treasures simply fall into our laps,
Still others emerge in their own sweet time.
Now that I’ve learned to surrender the maps
I recognize grace in a steady climb.

Don’t take these words as license to linger,
But I can wait for a ring on my my finger.

They can laugh all they want - I don’t really care.
I’ll say I knew all along it was true,
How I never doubted you standing there
And that I'd one day find my way to you.
