Missing You

I want to be back where I'm home again,
Nestled in your arms so steady and true.
What a time, life held such happiness then.
Can you understand that I'm missing you?
I don't mean to addle your burdened mind,
I don't mean to steal from the great Miss Ross,
But I'm pondering what we left behind
And finding it hard to accept the loss.
I understand that it's out of my hands -
Your demons and desires aren't of me -
Yet my affection abounds and demands
You at least be given the chance to see.
It hurts now to say how much I miss you
When heaven was to curl up and kiss you.
