The One Who Makes Me Feel Beautiful

Fate wrote me off with his poison pen,
Dismissing me with a sweep of the hand.
Time and tide did me wrong once again,
Promptly escorting me to no man’s land.

What am I to do? I never think twice.
I fly straight to you whatever the price.

With no safe place,
No friendly face,
What has the world for me but you,
The one who makes me feel beautiful?

I rethink what it means to travel
As I forge my way back home to you.
I may appear poised to unravel
But I think of your kiss and pull through.

Dark clouds threaten to envelop me,
But your arms beat them to the chase
And it’s heaven, far as I can see.
Let no one else enter this space.

What am I to do? I never think twice.
I fly straight to you whatever the price

With no safe place,
No friendly face,
What has the world for me but you,
The one who makes me feel beautiful?
