You Can't Deny

I can't stop your words. They flood creation.

I'm a Londoner with no umbrella -

Shelter is a doorway or bus station.

If you'd play Stanley I'd play Stella,

Steadfast and loyal through the final act.

When I give my love there's no turning back,

No circumstance in which it could retract,

Not even when faced with the love you lack.

You can segregate me, push me away,

But it is my privilege to have this love.

It will remain no matter what you say.

Do it. Let your words rain down from above.

Although you voice refusal to take part

You can't deny this place here in my heart.
