A Million Little Stars

All these rocks are shoring up inside me.

Within each one a diamond is hiding.

The heat and pressure won’t be denied me,

All elements of nature abiding.

The friction throbs, the product of a force

So strong it opposes daylight and wins –

All I need is a plan for nature’s course

And crystallization at once begins.

You have lit the spark which now begins this,

Burning me with want of your every wish.

They spring from the depths of my dark abyss

Illuminating skies, yours to cherish.

That look in your eyes – they could all come true.

A million little stars – each one for you.
