Cast to the Wind

I would suggest you think outside the box

But that would contradict my own advice.
I would prefer not to check all the locks
And forfeit submission to thinking twice.
You claim interest in my security
Yet guarded misgivings grow far too much.
You speak of some abstract purity
Yet are the first to stain, the first to touch.
At once declare me a pawn in your schemes.
Put a gun to my head and make demands.
It would be more honest than the extremes
You design to legitimize your plans.
At last tell a truth and cast me to the wind,
Light penance compared to how you have sinned.
