If you got to know me surprise surprise -

There's much more to me than you realized.

You made a mistake in taking the stance

That I was the same old song and dance.

Much to your chagrin now it seems

I peeled your mold down to its seams,

Deconstructing your preconceptions,

Rightly challenging life's deceptions

That made you think of me in such a way

As to keep sound judgment safely at bay

Simply because it's simple for you

To reduce me down to a sentence or two.

It might have sapped my very essence

If it weren't for this lack of my acquiescence.
