If One Woman Loves Me

If one woman loves me I will not worry what the others think.
I will leave the house no matter how I look.
She will be the only one whose gaze I crave,
The reason to burn that little black book.

If one woman loves me I will sleep soundly at night.
Even if we disagree and end up in a fight
I can thank the stars for how lucky I am
Just to hear her voice, just to be her man.

If one woman loves me I will have reason.
Either sweat on my back or breath on the air
I will make it through whatever the season
Because I know she is home waiting there.

I'll wash the dishes and clean the drawers,
Do the laundry and sweep the floors.
I'll take out the kids, make grocery lists
And even the bed once in a while
In my always imperfect style –
That much I'm sure she'd tell me.

If one woman loves me...

If one woman loves me...
