The bear and the seal

Global warming was destroying the icebergs, the earth had more water than usual and all the animals were affected by it. On a small iceberg in the North Pole, lonely, there was this polar bear that was lost and had no family. The iceberg was melting exponentially and at this moment the mass of the bear exceeds the density of the ice so it was sinking. The bear didn't knew how to swim so he began to drown, until a seal saw what was happening and he went to save him by reaching another iceberg for the bear. The bear was surprised, as bears usually fed on seals, he couldn't believe it. By the acts of the seal, the bear decided to protect the seal from other species so they became friends during the apocalypse.

They went everywhere together and the seal did the fishing and the bear did the protecting. One day the bear found a group of other bears and he was so happy about this, without realizing that the other bears would not accept the seal as part of the community survivors. He went to talk to the bears to see how they had survived the apocalypse and where do they hide, but the other bears could only see that there was a seal with the bear. The alpha bear saw this and so he asked:

-Is that seal your food or can I eat it?

-This is not food, it is actually my friend, and he helped me when I was in extreme danger.

-Well tell your “friend” he has 10 seconds to run or we will eat him.

The bear didn’t know what to do, but he decided to leave his friend who had helped him survive the apocalypse so he could be with his “family”, so the bear said to the seal

-I think you should leave.

-I thought we were friends

-We both knew that this would end some day

So the seal left the bear, crying, and he went to find someone else. The first day passed since the bear and the seal separated, later weeks, and then months. At first they felt lonely but then they managed to move on. One day the bear was hunting and he saw a seal; he was so hungry he chased the seal until he finally reached it when he realized it was his old friend. They both started to cry and they said each other that they should have never separated. The bear decided to stay with the seal and so he left the other bears. The end.

The moral lesson is that true friends last forever no matter who you are, no matter what the problem is, they will find a way to solve them.
