It is a part of my life
It's as important as breathing
I can't live without it
It soothes me when I'm feeling hurt
It makes me feel happy when I'm angry
I wrap my vocal cords around it's beauty
And strain to try and match it's sound
I can't resist singing along
To almost anything I know the words to
It's music to my ears
If we lived in a world without music
Can you imagine how boring it would be?
I love the way I can listen to anything
And it can bring back so many memories
And so many moments lost in time
I don't care what kind it is
As long as when I hear it, it makes me smile
You can judge what I like and don't
But it doesn't matter, I'll listen to it anyway
