CHAD I know you can't promise me forever.
Forever is in no one's hands.
But I'd hope to think we could be together,
At least 'til this glass runs out of sand...
But glass is fragile and often breaks
As Lovers' hearts often do.
And sand stings our eyes like tears that fall
When the Romance is through.
And I wish that I could give you forever,
But forever isn't mine to give.
And I wish I could say that we'd be together
For as long as I live...
But hearts change and minds change,
And people change as times change,
And life really has
No guarantee.
But I'll take what I have,
Right now,
"As is",
As long as you're here with me.
