Kontakion: Immanuel, God With Us
The heavens could not contain You, O Christ,
yet You chose the lowliness of flesh,
to dwell among Your creatures and redeem them.
Prophets foretold, and angels proclaimed,
that the Virgin would bear the Eternal Word.
Now we behold You, Immanuel,
God truly with us,
who by Your Cross destroyed death
and by Your rising filled all things with life.
