Our Place in The World

Where should we stand along these future's steps

When tomorrow is today's moment, fleeting

Like stairs, steps so slow, we slip

Falls upon the other

Traveler

Where should we stand along these future's steps?

Steps

Creaking crude crooked

perfect

The future falls to us who won't change
We the future who sits down
Outraged at this age

But has nothing
and does nothing

We the future wake up
A day's wiser
but never better
and wouldn't rather

Take the wheel
