A flick of a needle
A cowardly vein
Tracks run vertical
A life destroying train
Personality turns to vapor
Eyes roll back into head
A smile leads to slumber
A loved one as good as dead
Like an etch-a-sketch in an earthquake
Who you are just fades away
As you bask in your destruction
Your family waits for that day
For the phone call
Saying you are no longer with us
Used up just about every appendage
counting all the broken trusts
So as you sit there
Climbing aboard a train to nowhere
We'll keep busting down the tracks
Trying to help you not disappear
