Battles Between the Broken
The phrase "never trust a politician,"
was common knowledge when I was young.
Now the right worships a president,
and the left's gone crazy, since he won.
Words once describing hands to write with,
are now seen as entire identities.
Sexual-preference, race, religion, and politics,
have now replaced personality.
One side is hindered by religion,
the other lusts for Pandora's Box;
praying to propaganda's spirit animals;
a tweeting bird and funny fox.
Regression disguised as progession,
religion considered reality;
inclusion through exclusion,
sexism rebranded as gender identity.
People preaching about color,
while their thoughts are black and white;
rather than tipping scales in one direction,
one should balance left and right.
