Forgotten Words Of Remembrance

Standing by the lake, beneath the lilac sky..
With the tree leaves falling: autumn one month shy.
The sun is setting and for their homes the swans depart.
The very same time, the last time, our lips did part.
I remember... You forgot...

In that everlasting moment, you made me swear
Words of remembrance, to you, my darling Claire..
You walked away into the darkness; the sun set in the horizon.
And i just stood there, your smell lingering around the region.
I remember... You forgot...

The leaves are falling again, autumn's near..
The sky is shy lilac again, wishing you were here..
I stand here again, your smell still lingers..
But all i can grab is a fading shadow with my fingers..

I remember, You forgot.
Because i am here and you're not.
