I understand the distance,

was hard for us to handle.

It's not easy being in love,

with someone who's 3,000 miles away.

I understand the difficulty

of communication across the miles.

Phone bills add up faster,

than the money comes in.

I understand that you loved me,

but a relationship was too hard,

for that present moment in time.

But what I don't understand,

is why we can't try again.

We're in totally different situations than before,

we still feel the same for each other,

it's been a year and a half,

and we've changed for the better.

So why not try again?
