What happened to us mom?

We used to be like friends.

But now it seems that lately,

our friendship’s come to an end.

We used to be so close,

but now it seems so far.

I’ve moved out of the house,

because you almost took my car.

~

But that’s not the only reason,

it started with a fight,

between me and my older sister,

and ended when I left that night.

~

She’s of age and could have moved,

but I’m the “problem child”

So you must think I’m a trouble maker,

and all I do is run wild.

~

But what happened to us mom?

What’s happened to us now?

I want us to be close again,

maybe someday somehow.

~

It’s almost like my sister,

has gone and torn us apart.

And I don’t think it’s fair.

I’m speaking from my heart.

~

What happened to us mom?

Please just tell me so.

And even though we’re no longer close, I love you,

I just thought that you should know.
