Figure It Out

Once in a while

The leaves turn green

Once in a while, my face you will see

Once in a while

When autumn blooms

Once in a while, someone assumes

Once in a lifetime, I will be free

Once in a lifetime, you owe a small fee

Everyone has a price to pay

I think of this as I sit by the bay

When the tears turn into sea

You will not remember me

Was a friend or was I foe?

Either way, I did not go  (all the way)

Again, I must see you on my way

To the palace of Livelong Day!

Author's Notes/Comments:

I began writing this, before I realized I sounded alot like a prostitute. My friend Darnee' added the "all the way". :)
