Don't Leave Me

You honked the horn , then drove away

You drove the road to a better day

You moved away, but I moved closer to touch you

You dropped my hand

and left me alone in this dark parking lot.

I hate my mind for not hating you

and all the wild things you do

Childhood friends amidst the ashes

We grew apart with the new age fashion

You made me laugh, I made you cry

I made you smile, you made me shy

In the faint distance of your words

I can see headlights shing bright.

Calling to me in this dark night.
