Ravenous Ways

Folder:
Spontaneous

I am a raven

black within

A good bird, really

but mistaken for sin.

I perch on a building

waiting for night

I take pleasure in bringing passerbys fright

I swoop down and catch my prey

It's just the same for me everyday

I fly high into darkness

with a smile upon my beak

My life presumes to be dull as dull

I never have a reason to weep

I sit up high on this oil lamp

Right until I'm tlod to "scat"

I peck with fury  without a cause

Feathers flying, "scrrrrraaaaape" go my claws

I fly out the window on a street lamp

That's my flight

I kiss goodnight.
