It hurts when you're not there

to ease the pain and fear

I can't exactly see why

I don't mean much to you

In reality , I don't think I ever did.

And that's what kills me the most

besides the fact that I never really had you

besides the fact that you never really loved me.

But I've got to get on with it already

and look to tomorrow as a brand new day

stop this cying and denying

for the one that got away.
