The Envelope Red

She handed him a letter

And she kissed him on the cheek.

She hoped he would be better

Without seeing her for a week.

He stood there in shock,

He didn't know what to say.

He went home and locked himself in his room

And wasted the rest of his day.

The letter still sat on his bed

When the clock at midnight struck.

In his hands he buried his head

Because he finally realized he was out of luck.

The envelope red and the letter short,

After he read it he hung it on the door.

For once she has touched his heart

And he was ready to talk to her once more.

The next morning her phone rang as she awoke in bed,

And these are the words to her he said:

"I'm sorry for what I've done,

I'm sorry for how I acted.

Cause you're my only one,

I'm sorry, I over-reacted.

I know that I'm your world

And you mean the same to me.

My lesson I've finally learned,

Yours I'll forever be."

With that he heard her cry

And knew she really cared.

Now he knew he couldn't lie

About the love that would always be there.

The beginning began to start,

Because the love was reunited in their hearts.
