Looking At You (Knowing the Un-Made Pact)

He called my name as I walked down the hall,

But I'll be honest, I didn't hear him at all.

Maybe he had to tell me something, maybe something was wrong,

Because when he looked in my eyes I saw it.

He embraced me tightly and stood against the wall,

Just looking at me.

Did I present myself the right way?

How his eyes were magnetized to mine made me believe there was something on the other side.

I kept talking and looking back at his sweet face and admiring eyes.

But staring back was something I could not do, no matter how bad I wanted to.

At that moment I should have offered something that meant the world,

Be together, boy and girl.

The Romeo and Juliet past months made us.

The pact I want to make, but that will break all their hearts,

Although it could be worth it in the end.

Being together at last like it could be,

Like it would be,

Like it should be.
