Together we snuggle by the tree
awaiting Santa to slide down
the chimney with a bag full
of presents. Together we snuggle
by the tree awaiting Santa to
place a butterfly kiss on our
foreheads and tuck us more
securely into our comforters.
Together we snuggle by the tree
awaiting Santa to place each
gift beneath the tree with
our names on them. Together we
snuggle by the tree and when
we awake we cheer because
gifts have been given to not
only ourselves, but the ones
we love, each other.
