Dessert For Two

Once upon a midnight's dream
a princess was locked in
the charcoal dungeon...

Toad after toad
tried to hop into her window,
but kiss after kiss
there was no prince.

Rabbit after rabbit
played, "Whisper Down The Alley"
to find a knight.

The wicked witch
overheard the chatter
and her mind went pitta-padder.

On a majestic blue unicorn
the knight came to her aide
with a freshly sharpened sword blade.

Day after day
the maiden would pray
for her get-away.

The skies turned black
to blue to red to purple
with the battle.

To help her knight
she tore her dress
and distracted the dragon.

A platter of apples
from the witch's brew
and they made a tough crew.

The witch choked on a cob...
The dragon turned into bacon...
and her knight ate them for dessert.
