Deep within
the shadows of soul
lies a guide
of what's to be.
They unknowingly
choose their paths
to take and sometimes
never see
how it came to be.
They forget
to count their lucky stars,
praise the Lord,
thank their angels,
evaluate themselves,
and so much more.
If they would only
acknowledge that guide
that stems from
faith, love, religion, acceptance, etc.,
they'd be wiser and more grateful.
They need to
refocus on what's deep within.
