Here are the days that have passed me by
Watch their sequence as the time shall fly
Day after day I have visions of death and sorrow
I hope that I can get through today and maybe tomorrow
But how and why do I continue to be
Something unfathomable for you to see
Everyone says I’m a mystery
But then again hasn’t it been my history
To just sit in the shadows alone
Wasting my time in the walls of my home
Perhaps a light will shine on me someday
So I can finally put this pain away
