The Fate of Us

The words, I have too many left unspoken

My heart, it’s wounded and broken

The clock, it keeps ticking faster and faster

This key, it will bring me to disaster

My mind, somehow keeps me going

The wind, behind me it’s blowing

Words of warning, they tell me don’t go back

But my heart, it’s fading and slowly turning black

He’s there, like a ghost

My heart, its beating and I love him the most

My mind, says to just walk away

His hand, slowly reaches out for mine

I’m falling, back in the lost place in time

He whispers, I’m sorry I won’t hurt you again

He promises, I will love you to the end

My mind, says not to give him a second trust

My heart, says it’s not love but lust

But for a reason, I choose to ignore

I close my eyes, and fall slowly to the floor

Just then, he happens to catch me from the fall

As he holds me, suddenly there are crumbles on the wall

This key, may give me the fate of disaster

The clock, will always be ticking faster and faster

But I, will be the only one to master

The fate of Us
