Earth

Earth cracked with years of abuse,
everything turning dry brown and sand.
Evergreens no more with branches bare,
eucalyptus dried and bitter with dust.
Endless sun scorched plains,
encapsulating empty riverbeds.
Evangelists preaching doom.
