Breathe deep and sigh,

life takes you where you seem to go.

Breathe deep and sigh,

someday you’ll have to say goodbye.

Suck it up and go with the flow,

hang on friend and let your life grow.

Rondelet


This is a typical French form that uses a refrain and two rhymes.
The first, third and last line are four syllables (or two feet), and
the four lines remaining are eight syllables (or four feet).


This gives a rhyme scheme of...


A, b, A, a, b, b, A


A = the refrain (repeating line)


and a syllable count of


4, 8, 4, 8, 8, 8, 4
