Halloween Extortion

as we wandered
house to house,
extorting treats
with the threat
of some sort of
trick upon them.
I was never one
wanting to cause
to much damage,
but of course
times were
different then.
A little candle wax
smeared across
their window panes
was too harsh
for me to do,
so a bar of soap
would do the trick.
Easily washed off
when the night was through.
