Our favorite café is where we met,

you had coffee and I a baguette.

The summer stillness was in the air,

as well as your fragrance I’ll never forget.

Many years have passed since then,

almost been about forty plus ten.

Every one of them cherished in my heart,

I wish we could live them all over again.

Though now we are in the winter of our years,

we have never shed not one of our tears.

We are back here in Paris to renew our vows,

standing in front of the charge d’affaires.
