Lonely Road

White lines racing passed my eyes,

darkness creeping across the road.

Blacktop going mile after mile,

on my way back home to you.

Been away from you much too long,

this run really took its toll.

Missed you baby since I left home,

dreaming of you back in my arms.

Driving through the night for you,

won’t get me there a day too soon.

Will be hours before dawn breaks through,

with sunlight splashing on my sleepy eyes.

Can’t keep you out of my mind,

tomorrow we shall be entwined.
