Falling Tears

2006 Poetry Crying in her hands,
she sits and allows
the tears to fall.
Heartache burning
deep within
unlike she's ever
felt before.
She curses that
which took him away,
leaving her alone
roaming the fields.
Until that day
when she will also
take her dying breath,
and be united
once again.
