Rumblings

Folder:
2003 Poetry

I feel that rumbling deeply within

Building up pressure under my skin

Wondering if I will find a place

Before I will really have to race

Rumbling more than I did before

Worrying what nature has in store

Beginning to think I have to look

Before my ability is overtook

Seeing my chance I make a dash

Up and out in a single flash

Others wondering why I quickly departed

Outside with relief I promptly farted

Author's Notes/Comments:

I read a poem about the word fart and thought I'd write about the pending embarrassment of the situation.
