Once Again

Folder:
2007 Poetry

The sun sets early

as the autumnal equinox

cycles with the sun

and maple trees

run their sap

deep in Vermont's heart.

Leaves begin to burst

from red to indigo.

as liquid slowly flows

to buckets hung.

All the while

getting sticky

like a half sucked lollipop

in the evening air.

Summer's heat

giving way to

the coolness of

of another

winter yet to come.
