Ode to Columbia

Folder:
2003 Poetry

Seven brave souls flew off to the stars

Believing their dreams were fulfilled

But alas on humanity they left unsightly scars

Because tragically they all were killed

Columbia was the name of their dream

And it had flown many times before

Everything was great or so did it seem

But they will never live on anymore

Their dream ended in fire and smoke

Seen by all across the blue Texas sky

Causing us all to tear up and choke

The entire world having to say good-bye

Author's Notes/Comments:

My heart goes out to the seven astronauts who lost their lives in the Columbia tragedy.

May they all rest in peace.
