Why Do I Call You Mother

Folder:
Family

You like to tell people we’re a

FAMILY

Yeah, I like to pretend too,

You say you can’t work so

You can stay home with me

FAMILY TIME

Bullshit!

You like to pretend

But you never spend time

With me

And you’ll never be apart

Of this one-person

Family

You don’t even LOVE me

How can I stay somewhere

When I’m not wanted

When will my insides

Feel not SO empty?

Were should I go to be happy?

I don’t understand

A new meaning to confusion

Why do I call you mother?

When you’ve never

Been one to me

Author's Notes/Comments:

Deticated to: my mom. Pulled from a once long and rambling poem, written around 2001.
