Fatherless girls,



Hiding in the shadows



From their critical eyes



And their pitying eyes



And their long pointing fingers



So self-conscious



Never wanting to be

deticated to: my dad
based on growing up I was the only girl I knew with divorced parents. and other children I didnt know would come up to me and say "I hear you dont have a dad, I'm sorry." ALl I ever wanted was to be like everyone else, to have what everyone else thought so normal.
