Macbeth

I saw you, Mr. Knife today

I saw you and your smile

500 of you stiff and straight

Sun glinting on your face

They sold all kinds

Of different styles

But I saw you

I saw your smile

I thought perhaps

Of all those times

Of all those plans

In my own hand

And then I knew

I couldn’t leave

Until at last

I did achieve

My most

Desirable goal

I purchased you

And then I thought

About the plot

I would pursue

I think of her

And of that face

That I would

Soon get to disgrace

In the night

I quickly tred

And find myself

Beside her bed

I hold you friend

As though a spear

And swallow all

This rising fear

I plunge into her

Blossomed chest

That just results

In bloodiness

And as she nears

Herself to death

I am reminded

Of Macbeth
