CASTLE

From afar i saw the arrant human creation
So majestic in nature, envied by many souls.
Closer and closer, it is getting more defined.
It's beauty is gleaming with crown and power.

I am so filled with awe and wonder.
Standing in front the great imperial pillars
I touched the lofty sculpted cornerstones
Spinning gleefully like the cherubim's lark.

My solely laughter filled the breathless room.
I searched around looking for a speck of life
Even seeketh the very pulse of life within me
But vain, oh so vain, my heart is grieved.

So encumbered with strife, tears had sprung,
Chiseled beauty so colossal yet lonely empty
My heart is shattered, buried deep in hollow
I seek the harmony that once was before me.

What power is there for wealth to bereft me,
Of the happiness we all dream to live and last?
I desire not the perpetual loneliness and sorrow,
Gift of the great mansion is barren life and love.

Smiles that filled the air with music and laughter
I need to live in the bliss of the ones i dearly loved.
Life with struggles but merits a happy content soul
Will overcome the assailing hurdles and woes.

Now the days are old and am in my humble home
But joy it is that no fame nor riches can surpass
Soon i will vanish wealthy with love and happiness
Leaving the legacy of the great castle within me.
