i learned that you’re in trouble

and you’re keeping it from me

i heard that you’re hurting

and you’re hiding it from me

for nine months i had you in me

twenty-five years of unconditional love

a kind of love that only me can give

no one knows you like i do

no matter how hard you try

to veil your circumstances
