Philosophical Epiphany
I believe
all men are basically good
and that evil is provided
by those who don't care enough
to show compassion.
I believe
in a God
who loves us
and provides for us
protects us
and allows us to form our own destinies.
I believe
in love
its power to create life
and destroy the image of perfection.
I believe that adoration
proves the (ability) of men
to throw away his inhibitions
an d trust wholy.
I believe
in fantasies
that they may keep life worth living.
I believe
in destiny
and free will
that they may go hand in hand
as we forge our own fates.
I believe
that Science
and God
are brothers in faith
for neither disproves the other
and why
if we have the minds to think it
must we toss one away as untrue?
I believe in Me
for I must carry myself through this life
and march along to the songs of my own voice.
I believe
that peace
must be reached alone
before we can all share in tranquility.
I believe
that one day
we will have all the answers
that we maybe never wanted.
And I believe
that no one
understands the power we hold
as people
who feel
love
hate
anger
despair
that we are capable of
destruction
and creation
and that the one thing holding us back
is our fear to believe in choice.
