Days go by,

One after another,

and You seem so far away.



I cry out

Afraid you've gone

And then you say:



My Child,

I never left

I've always been

Right here for you



My Child,

Dont fear

I've told you before,

I'll never leave you



With newfound Peace

I start out again

Knowing that no matter what

You'll always be there.



But as time flies

I begin to Stumble

falling to the ground



I cry "Father! Help me!"

And with tenderness,

You draw me close, whispering:



My Child,

Trust in me,

You are safe

Here in my arms



My Child,

I pick you up

and Carry you through the storm



Every time

I turn away

I start to feel alone



I stop to ponder

why you left me

And its then

That you remind me



My Child,

I never left

It was you

Who walked away from me



I've always been

Right where I said I would

Never Leaving

Never forsaking



But it was you

Who thought you could

Make it on your own

And didn't need a Father's Hand



But My Child,

I've always been

Right by your side,

Carrying you through



I love you

With a Father's eternal love

Always remember that,

My unbreakable promise to you.
