I’ve never really been the superstitious type
Never believed too much in fate
Always figured you made your own breaks
And believing in fortune was never gonna do me much good
Never believed in a purpose for creation
Just worried about making it day to day
Never believed in having a future
Living today was enough for me
Never believed in a whole lot of good in my time
Had my share of bad luck to teach me otherwise
Saw too much of life I would’ve rather missed
But I guess you don’t really get that choice anyway
But I guess things took a turn sometime ago
For the first time I believe in luck
For I’ve sure got luck with love
After all, I’ve got you
I know I don’t deserve you
You’re just too good to be true
Every time that we’re together
Time seems to stand still
I know life’s not easy
It was never supposed to be anyway
But I’ll take all the bad in stride
You’re the good that’s worth it all
